Cowley College joins the Arkansas City community in mourning the passing of William R. (Bill) Docking, a dedicated leader, philanthropist, and advocate for education.

Cowley College is pleased to announce the presentation of scholarships to two outstanding individuals in recognition of their exceptional service to the community and dedication to leadership.

Robert & Gwen Tyler will be honored this August when the newly constructed Cowley College Career and Technical Education building becomes the “Tyler Technical Education Center.

Having graduated from Arkansas City Junior College (now Cowley College) in 1965, January 18, 2024, recently marked the 60th anniversary when Dr. Kermit McMurry set the school record with 30 rebounds against Northeastern Oklahoma College.

Former Arkansas City High School choir director Tim Harmon recently established a new Foundation Scholarship for Cowley College choir students.

The top two finalists for Queen Alalah XCI, Kinzie Pappan and Emma Badley, were recently presented with scholarships.

In honor of former Cowley College golfer Brian Groves, sophomore Sadie Kabisch was named the 2023 Brian Groves Memorial Scholarship recipient.

The 28th annual Tiger Skins/Brian Groves Memorial Golf Tournament was held Saturday, August 19, at Ark City Great Life Golf & Fitness.

Boomer Saia, a 2009 graduate of Cowley College, recently accepted a contract to become the new women’s tennis head coach at Clemson University.
