Registration underway for Eli Hilderbrand Memorial Golf Tournament

Raising money for the Eli Hilderbrand Memorial Scholarship at Cowley College, the initial Eli Hilderbrand Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Tuesday, August 15 at the Lawrence Country Club in Lawrence, KS.

The scramble will begin at 9 a.m. Cost is $125 per golfer or $500 for a team of four. Hole sponsorships are available for $250, while food and beverage sponsorships are available for $100. Sponsors will receive recognition through event day signage and publicity.

After graduating from Purcell (OK) High School in May of 2007, Eli Hilderbrand enrolled at Cowley College in Arkansas City, KS where he was studying to be a massage therapist. He immersed himself into the college where he was co-founder of the Multicultural Student Union and played intramural sports. He was also employed at the Cowley College Wellness Center.

Tragically, Hilderbrand lost his life in an apartment fire on October 2, 2007.

All proceeds from the golf tournament will benefit the Eli Hilderbrand Memorial Scholarship.
