Pam Smith receives Bill and Judy Docking Faculty Achievement Award

Pam Smith, a highly involved and dedicated chemistry instructor at Cowley College, was recognized for her 23 years of teaching excellence by being named the recipient of the Bill and Judy Docking Faculty Achievement Award Friday in the Earle N. Wright Community Room.

Smith has been recognized several times for the work she has done as an instructor at Cowley. She is a past recipient of the Paul Stirnaman Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence and serves as the Chair of the Outcomes Assessment Team as well as being the president of the Cowley Education Association.

Smith was humbled to receive the award which comes with a $2,000 stipend to be paid over two years.

“I am thankful to be a part of this great institution where you can do so much good for so many people,” Smith said. “I also want to thank Bill and Judy (Docking). They are fantastic people that continue to richly bless this institution and community.”
