Krusor Scholarship Will Go to Student Needing Financial Aid
Applications for the annual $1,000 William A. and Gladys Krusor Scholarship may be obtained from the First Presbyterian Church, 1101 Millington, Winfield KS 67156, (620) 221-4500.
Deadline for submission of applications is April 30.
The scholarship will be awarded by May 31 to an undergraduate student who has demonstrated a commitment to completing his or her college education and could not afford to do so without the financial aid. Applicants should have completed at least one year of college. Criteria for the scholarship are based on need rather than grade point average alone.
The Krusor scholarship was established in memory of Bill and Gladys Krusor who felt education was an asset to the individual receiving it and to the country as well. They helped many people complete their college education. Their family and friends honor their memory by carrying on their tradition of offering financial aid to students.
The scholarship is payable in two installments, $500 at the beginning of the fall semester and $500 at the beginning of the spring semester.
The student must show proof of enrollment in their school of choice before the scholarship is awarded. It is for one year only, but recipients may reapply.
The selection committee may request a personal interview with the applicant.
