Dane G. Hansen Foundation giving out $4,000 renewable scholarships



The Dane G. Hansen Foundation is giving out twenty (20) $4,000.00 renewable scholarships in the 26 counties of Northwest Kansas.

Twenty scholarships are available for Kansas Community or Technical College students transferring to an accredited four-year public, private or church-related Kansas college or university.

Each scholarship of $4,000 may be renewed for one year upon completion of satisfactory work as evaluated by the Scholarship Committee.

Students may obtain application forms from scholarship coordinator Lisa Grose, or the application forms can be downloaded. These forms are due at the Hansen Foundation office by February 1, 2019.

Three letters of reference are due in the Foundation office by February 1, 2019, and it is the student’s responsibility to see that the references are mailed to the Hansen Foundation office.

Applicants must be graduates of high schools in the designated 26 counties of Northwest Kansas, have completed college work with a 3.0 GPA or better and possess good character and leadership qualities.

Community College students must have completed a minimum of 32 hours of college credits. Technical College students must have completed an associate of applied science degree before transferring to an accredited four-year public, private or church-related Kansas college or university and must be enrolled as full-time students. For renewal the student must have at least a 3.0 GPA at the college level.
