Bill and Judy Docking donate $250,000 to Cowley College Foundation

Continuing to support Cowley College students and faculty, Bill and Judy Docking recently donated $250,000 to the Cowley College Foundation to help with faculty enrichment and student scholarships.

Bill and Judy are no strangers to charitable giving as they are previous recipients of the Ambassador Award which recognizes individuals who have given significant volunteer and other contributions to both Cowley College and the community, and consistently give of themselves and their time to make the community better.

“We are beyond excited that that Dockings made this commitment to Cowley College faculty and students,” Cowley College Foundation Board president Mike Munson said. “Bill and Judy have done great things for our community and the college.”

Bill is chairman of Union State Bank in Arkansas City and City Bank & Trust Company, Guymon, OK. He is also chairman, president and CEO of Docking Bancshares, Inc., a bank holding company, and is president of Cowley County Broadcasting, Inc., which owns two radio stations. An attorney and certified public accountant, Docking has distinguished himself as a businessman, a community leader, and a friend of Cowley College. Although he has three degrees from the University of Kansas, he and his wife Judy have generously supported Cowley College. Docking’s support of community has led to extensive service throughout Cowley County and Kansas. He is also a member of Cowley College Foundation’s Board of Directors.
