Alumni Association coming to Cowley
Cowley College, home of the Tigers and thousands of alumni who sings its praises, is getting an alumni association.
The Cowley College Alumni Association, which will operate under the umbrella of the Cowley Foundation, will officially kick-off during Cowley’s graduation receptions on Saturday, May 12. The alumni association will serve as a central hub for alumni and former students to reconnect with old classmates and the college. Members will receive an array of benefits. The college currently has no group for alumni to gather after graduating.
“The alumni association will give former students and alumni an easy and centralized way to get together once they’ve left the Cowley campus,” said Alumni Relations Coordinator, Adriana Somerville.
Membership will be open to alumni, former students, and friends of the college. Benefits for association members will include 15% off Cowley merchandise at the campus bookstore, $5 off monthly membership to the Wellness Center, legacy scholarships for dependents of alumni, access to an online directory of alumni association members and invitations to alumni association events. Members who purchase a lifetime membership by August 1 will be considered charter members and will be invited to a special charter member event.
Several membership options are being offered. An annual membership for $25, a joint annual membership for $40, a lifetime membership for $250 and a joint lifetime membership for $400.
A tent will be set up at the graduation receptions outside of W.S. Scott Auditorium on Saturday, May 12 for those interested in enrolling. Online enrollment is also being offered.
